Rawls Law Group Welcomes Attorney, David Tierney

Rawls Law Group is pleased to announce the addition of lawyer, David Tierney, to our Richmond, Virginia office. Mr. Tierney has represented veterans throughout his career. “We are absolutely delighted that David has joined us,” said President and Owner, Brewster S. Rawls. “As a Marine Corps veteran, he will appreciate both what so many of our clients have gone through, as well as what they are facing. His varied career before entering law school gives him maturity and insight rarely found in relatively new lawyers. David will be a valuable member of our team.”

About David Tierney

Prior to becoming an attorney, David served for five years as an enlisted Marine in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was then led to a career in theatre and was an actor and director. Prior to joining Rawls Law Group, David was an attorney advisor for the Board of Veterans Appeals in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Since his Marine Corps service, David has worked on behalf of veterans in a number of ways.  In 2006, he volunteered to participate in an Armed Forces Entertainment tour in a number of countries in the Middle East and Africa, including Iraq.  During law school, David helped the Los Angeles County Bar Association establish its Veterans Legal Service Project, and served as the Chair of the Veterans Legal Clinic and President of the Veterans Law Society, where he provided legal services to homeless veterans and helped create a Veterans Benefits course. David currently volunteers with the Disability Law Center of Virginia.

“I am excited to be joining Rawls Law Group because of the attorneys with whom I will be working and the clients I will be helping,” Mr. Tierney said. “It is an ideal situation; working with a firm with a solid reputation for helping veterans and others who most need legal assistance.”
