VA Firings a Sign of Reform?

On Friday, the VA announced that more than 500 VA employees have been fired for “misconduct” over the last seven months.  That’s an average of about 70 per month.  About half as many other VA employees were either suspended or demoted, 233 in all.  Among the hundreds disciplined and terminated include “22 senior leaders, more than 70 nurses, 14 police officers, and 25 physicians.”  You can see the entire list of “adverse actions” here, and you can read more about this story here: VA firing employees
